Brandon Shapiro, a student of Dr. Ginger Beazley, was accepted into the studio of Distinguished Professor of Voice, Timothy Noble, at Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University Bloomington. Brandon, a vocal performance major, was also accepted into the Indiana University Honors college, and received an academic IU Distinction Scholarship, as well as two IU Music Scholarships: a Dean of Music Scholarship and the Roy and Mary Samuelson Scholarship.
Before his senior year Brandon received a partial scholarship to study at Eastman School of Music for a three week summer opera program. During his senior year he won the 1st Alternate Award for the Alabama Senior MTNA Competition, and was a winner in the Classical Singer Online Competition (only 35 winners nationwide). He received the award for both the Center and Alabama State Highest Score for Voice Level 8 for the National Music Certificate program. He auditioned for, and was the youngest chorus member in Opera Birmingham's production of Faust, and was Masetto in Don Giovanni with Ars Nova in Huntsville.
